Animal Tracks is a full service veterinary practice dedicated to veterinary home care and service

All service for your pet is given in your home, or taken to one of two veterinary hospitals for further diagnostic work.  There is no RV or mobile unit in which treatment is given.  Removing your pet from the home environment even if it's out to the driveway, defeats the purpose of the house call -- making the visit less stressful for your pet and for you.  Should your pet require surgery, x-rays, or further care outside the home, transportation to those facilities is provided.

Animal Tracks is run out of the home of Dr. Hatfield.  Pets recovering from surgeries/anesthesia stay overnight with her instead of at the hospital where the pets are not supervised all night.  Of course, should your pet require close monitoring, it will be sent to one of the overnight clinics at Mission Medvet, or VSEC. One necessity of a house call is that there is someone there who can assist in restraint or holding the pet during exam or treatment.  If the owner is unable to do this, or the pet is uncooperative, they may need to be transported to a clinic for the short term where a veterinary technician is available.  Every effort is made to keep the pet at home and free from distress.  If you feel your pet may be in this category, please inform us so arrangements may be made, or an assistant can come on the call.
